Lotion Basics: Understanding Indoor Tanning Products! Why Do Tanning Salons Sell Tanning Products? Tanners get better results when they use tanning products. Why Better Results from Using Tanning Products? Three key factors: Magnification, Moisturization and Skin Conditioning. Why Do We Not Sell More Tanning Products? Most tanners do not understand indoor tanning products. How Do We Sell More Tanning Products? Educate Tanners on the Importance of Indoor Tanning Products. Why Tanning Products Work? MAGNIFICATION: Magnification is simply the multiplying of the ultraviolet light reaching your skin. Our products using Aloe Vera gel and natural oils such as Hemp seed oil, Sunflower oil, and other essential oils to intensify the ultraviolet light reaching your skin. Tanners not using a tanning product will not get the extra magnification thus getting less results. MOISTURIZATION: Healthy skin is the foundation of your dark tanning success. Tanning products are designed to provide critical remoisturization to skin before and after tanning. The healthier your skin, the longer you have to tan that same skin and the darker your tan can get from tanning. Dry skin flakes and sheds peeling away your tan layer by layer. Our premium products provide your skin with the deep and constant moisture it needs during the tanning process with Aloe Vera, natural oils, minerals, natural botanical extracts, anti-oxidants, as well as other important vitamins and ingredients to help you extend your tan. SKIN CONDITIONING: GSK Resources tanning products are formulated to provide your skin with additional levels of key tanning ingredients to assist the tanning process. Skin conditioning ingredients, including Natural Butters, L- Tyrosine, Liposomial Tyrosine Complexes, Essential Oils, Vitamins, Natural Botanical Extracts, Riboflavin, Hemp Seed Oil, Copper, and other Minerals, are often the same ingredients that assist in moisturization and magnification aspects of indoor tanning products but benefit your tanning time in a variety of ways. How to Use Tanning Products How Much Tanning Product Should I Use Before Tanning? Everyone is different. The larger your body, the more you will use per session. The key is to get a good thick covering of Moisturization, Magnification, and Skin Conditioning ingredients onto your skin. Some Tanning Lotions Are Thick and Do Not Rub In Quickly: What Should I Do? The more moisturization a lotion has, the thicker it will be. If all of the lotion is not rubbed in completely, within a few moments the heat of the bed will cause the lotion to absorb into your skin. When Should I Apply Tanning Lotion? The best time for tanners to apply their lotion is immediately before their tanning session for the best magnification properties. Should I use an After Exposure Tanning Product between tanning sessions? Absolutely! Experts indicate that the body is “tanning” for up to 48 hours after your tanning time. Using an After Exposure Tanning product, like Continuous™, daily will replenish the moisture level in your skin. You may also use your indoor tanning lotion (non-tingle formula) as a moisturizer. Apply daily to keep your skin soft and supple, or as often as possible to any area that may need extra moisturization. Why Tanners Should Buy Tanning Products only from a Tanning Salon! Tanning Salon owners stock of indoor tanning products are selected to help your tanning process because “tanning” products bought somewhere else may actually hinder your tanning process. Basic Moisturizers are not the same as After Exposure Tanning Products: Tanners need to understand that often skin moisturizers bought from retail stores and major cosmetic companies contain ingredients that stop you from tanning. These non-tanning moisturizers ingredients may include: 1) Natural and chemical sun blocks that will block your bodies UV light absorption during your tanning session. 2) Skin bleachers and skin exfoliants designed to increase skin shedding and whitening and to minimize wrinkles and blemishes. 3) Most all non-tanning moisturizers do not contain tyrosine and other ingredients designed to help your body tan faster. Indoor Tanning Products and Outdoor Sun care Products are Different: Tanners need to understand that often indoor tanning products are for helping you get tan and outdoor sun care products are designed to prevent you from getting tan by blocking UV exposure. Never use a Sun care (SPF) product in a tanning bed, SPF products require as long as 30 minutes before the SPF ingredients are actively blocking UV exposure. To prevent overexposure, reduce your exposure time or cover smaller areas with a towel or clothing to block UV exposure. Some Tanning Products bought elsewhere may Damage Tanning Beds: Tanners need to realize that indoor tanning equipment is very expensive. Many “tanning” products sold outside of tanning salons may contain ingredients like mineral oil, product dyes, and other ingredients that will damage the tanning equipment resulting in less UV exposure during the tanning session. Most major brands of indoor tanning products have been tested to be tanning bed safe, meaning the ingredients will not damage or reduce the effectiveness of the tanning equipment. Would You Bring Your Own Food to a Restaurant: Tanners need to understand that bringing a tanning product bought from an outside source to a tanning salon is like bringing your own food to a five star restaurant. Do you take a grocery store perm kit to your professional hair stylist and demand they use it to save you a few dollars? Tanning salon owners are tanning professionals with a large variety of premium tanning products to help customers get better results from tanning sessions at prices everyone can afford. Thank You!
